Shoutout to the top performers of Week 15! YourMomNeverLovedYou* won with 13 correct picks and the tiebreaker.
This year we are hosting our pick'em contest on Sleeper, and just because you missed the first three weeks doesn't mean you can't still join and try to catch the pack.
Let's get to our concensus misses and lone wolf picks from Week 16.
*If you want to be shouted out by name, be sure to let us know who you are!
This week featured three games where the three of us were in agreement and went down with the ship together. Those games were:
Los Angeles Rams (-1.5) at Seattle Seahawks - Cory and Evan laid the points while Eric forgot to make his pick. Lucky for Eric, a wild fourth quarter comeback and thrilling overtime win gave the Seahawks the win and prevented him from taking a lonely L.
Pool results: 43% took SEA
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers - All three Sportsballers laid the points, and for the second week in a row the Bucs disappointed all three of them as the Panthers came away with the win to take the lead in the NFC South.
Pool results: 56% took CAR
Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos (-3.5) - All three Sportsballers laid the points, but Trevor Lawrence had other things to say as he had yet another big game and led the Jags to a dominating win against a very good defense in the altitude.
Pool results: 37% took JAC
We also had several games where one of us went off the beaten path. Here are those games and whether our lone wolf got the kill or unexpectedly found himself as the prey:
Green Bay Packers (-1.5) at Chicago Bears - Evan was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points. The Bears had less than a 1% chance of winning after Cairo Santos made it a 7 point game at the 2-minute warning, but a successful onside kick, a touchdown drive, a takeaway and another touchdown drive in overtime gave Chicago the victory.
Pool results: 69% took HOU
Buffalo Bills (-10.5) at Cleveland Browns - Eric was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points. It was a good call as the Bills didn't even come within a touchdown of beating the spread in one of Josh Allen's most underwhelming performances of the season.
Pool results: 24% took CLE
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins (-1.5) - Eric was the lone member of the Sportsballers to lay the points, but Joe Burrow had a bounce-back game tossing four touchdowns as the Bengals more than doubled up the Dolphins in a 45-21 road win.
Pool results: 72% took CIN
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans - Evan was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points. The Chiefs were horrible and the Titans got their first home win since 2024.
Pool results: 52% took TEN
Atlanta Falcons (-2.5) at Arizona Cardinals - Eric was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points, but Kirko Chainz has been playing pretty well of late, Kyle Pitts had another excellent game, and Bijan Robinson did work both on the ground and through the air as the Falcons held off the Cardinals by a touchdown.
Pool results: 78% took ATL
Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions (-7.5) - Evan was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points. Cory made the mistake of not emotionally hedging and though his team had a shot to win it late, covering the spread was never really in play for them in this one.
Pool results: 59% took PIT
Las Vegas Raiders at Houston Texans (-14.5) - Cory was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points on an insane line. There probably wasn't any reasonable line the Raiders wouldn't have covered in this one, though, as they did take the L but by only two points thanks to an underwhelming offensive performance by Houston and a sensational outing for rookie running back Ashton Jeanty on the other side.
Pool results: 22% took LV
San Francisco 49ers (-5.5) at Indianapolis Colts - Evan was the lone member of the Sportsballers to take the points. Philip Rivers started the game very well and the Colts were in it for a while, but a first quarter turnover by Indy and a strong second half surge from San Fran gave the 49ers a comfortable 11-point win.
Pool results: 67% took SF
