Meet: Eric Meyer

Education & Training

After graduating from DeMatha in 2009, one year after Evan and a year prior to Cory, Eric enrolled at the University of Maryland - College Park. He graduated in 2013 with a B.A. in Economics. He now works as a budget analyst supporting NOAA and NASA.

While completing his undergraduate studies, Eric was one-third of the All-Sports Crew and the Football Freaks, two sports talk shows on the university's radio station. After leaving WMUC Sports, he and Cory continued their shows briefly before taking a hiatus from podcasting, appearing intermittently on Evan's Ash Backwards podcast.

Sports Fandom

Eric is a baseball junkie. While he has been a fan of the Seattle Mariners in the past, with Ken Griffey Jr., Ichiro Suzuki, and Felix Hernandez being three of his favorite players of all time, he no longer considers himself a part of their base and joins Evan as an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.

When it comes to football, Eric fell out of love with Washington's professional team. His disenchantment with the franchise followed much the same trajectory as Cory's. Fortunately for Eric, he already had another team to jump fully into bed with as he had also been a New Orleans Saints fan since the beginning of the Drew Brees/Sean Payton era.

The Sportsballers' resident NBA analyst, Eric generally roots heavily for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors but follows the league as a whole quite closely and remains rather unbiased.
