For a third year in a row, our hosts agreed to use confidence points for their NFL picks contest.
After Evan took the 2019 title and Eric won in 2020, Cory hoped to even it up in the final year The Sportsballers Podcast would use confidence points before moving to picks against the spread.
Cory got off to a good start in 2020, winning in Week 1 before immediately giving up the lead in Week 2. This year he jumped out even more strongly by scoring 92 points to just 76 for Evan and 66 for Eric in the opening set of picks.
After winning the next two weekly contests, as well, Cory held a comfortable 32-point lead over Evan and 35-point lead over Eric entering Week 4.
Though Evan and Eric tried to eat into Cory's lead, victories in 7 of the final 15 weeks of the regular season meant Cory never lost the lead he first gained in Week 1. Eric was able to close the gap in the final three weeks and was just 13 points back after the NFL's first ever Week 18 while Evan was more than 50 points in the hole.
Though Evan won the playoff contest handily, he was too far back for it to help him and Cory won the season contest, giving each of the three hosts one season title using confidence points.

Fan Contest
The Sportsballers Podcast hosted another fan contest this season, though only two of our fans stuck with it through the end of the season.
As a result, we didn't do as good a job of tracking picks records for our listeners, but we do know that James Dailey repeated as the fan champion after using the playoffs to come back and beat Sean Kennedy in 2020.
