Happy Halloween everyone! Another week, another late write-up. Might be another one next week, too. Hopefully by Week 9 things will settle down a little and I can get back on schedule.
If you'd like to check out League Legacy's AI-generated recaps of all six games this week and a preview of Week 8, you can check it out on League Legacy.
I've also had the site run a more in-depth Rivalry Spotlight feature story for our Week 8 Game of the Week between Cory Puffett and Stephen April.
Let's jump into all the good stuff from Week 7!
All-time H2H: Stephen leads series 6-5
D’Andre Swift outperformed A.J. Brown on Thursday Night Football and set the tone for Stephen’s week.
Both managers suffered disappointments from their running backs this week, with Aaron Jones exiting early for Sean and Kenneth Walker unable to make an impact against his former team. And while Sean can’t say any of his other players are decisively to blame, his guys just couldn’t keep up with Stephen’s pace.
Quinshon Judkins paced The Book of Daniels with his best fantasy output of the year, and Amon-Ra St. Brown went for 20 points without reaching the end zone. With the win already secured, Brandon Aubrey had his second-best game of the season and nearly flipped the Tom Brady Award in Stephen’s favor.
The BOD is rolling after two straight game of the week victories. Now he’ll get a chance to be the first manager to earn three straight Peyton Manning Awards since Alex Mayo claimed four straight from Week 9 to Week 12 in 2023.

Free Agent All-Stars vs Tom Brady Award Winner
Every week, we take the best possible lineup made of players who were available on waivers in the AFL at the end of the week and compare it to the top scoring team of the week in our league. Included percentages for the Free Agent All-Star players represent the percentage of FleaFlicker leagues in which each the player was rostered as of data gathering (usually Tuesday morning).

Free Agent All-Stars – 130.06

YTD Tom Brady Award Winner Record: 2-5
IR Report
In our league, any player can be placed on IR regardless of injury designation. Once on IR, the player cannot be moved, dropped, or traded for a minimum of three weeks.
After Week 1, IR placements are retroactive to the prior week as long as the player was already on the team's roster but was not in the starting lineup during that prior week. This means those players will be eligible to come off IR after just a two-week stay.
Competitive Lineup Penalty Report
This year, we instituted a new rule requiring managers to start a full lineup of active players. A strike system penalizes managers who leave inactive players, or players on bye, in their starting lineup.
Strike 1: No penalty
Strike 2: Fine of $100 FAAB + move to back of all postseason tiebreakers
Strike 3: Repeat Strike 2 penalty + move to back of every round of next year's draft
Strike 4: Dismissal from AFL
Strikes clear in reverse order, two seasons (currently 30 regular season weeks) after the first earned strike.

Alex Mayo 500 all-play losses
Chuck Knox Award (Best Coach) William Kellogg #1 in his career
Recording the 20th best single-game coaching performance in AFL history, William earned a league-high 22.05 points and a win by succeeding on two of the three coaching risks. Two of those coaching risks were created by a mid-week trade sending George Kittle to Stephen April for Ollie Gordon and Harold Fannin that dropped his optimal lineup projection by nearly five points. He cost his team 0.65 points by starting Harold Fannin instead of Kittle, but he earned 11.20 points by starting Gordon instead of Jordan Mason at FLEX. He earned an additional 11.50 points from his unrelated risk of starting Will Reichard at kicker instead of Trey Smack.
Hue Jackson Award (Worst Coach) Brandon Saunders #8 in his career
By failing on both of his coaching risks, Brandon cost his team a league high 23.16 points, making this the 47th worst single-game coaching score in AFL history. He cost his team 4.28 points by starting Malik Nabers instead of Josh Jacobs at FLEX and another 18.88 points by starting Germie Bernard at wide receiver instead of Luther Burden.
Managers took a combined 17 coaching risks this week and were successful on 6. The league's net point differential was -2.02
To date in 2026, the AFL has a .505 success rate on 95 total coaching risks with a -101.40 point differential
