The site refused to run an in-depth feature for our Week 3 game of the week between Evan Ash and William Kellogg because they've never faced each other before, this being William's first season in the AFL. Still, it should be a fun matchup considering they were the top two scorers a week ago. Here's hoping for some more fireworks in Week 3!

This matchup was over almost before it started. DJ Moore set the tone for the defending AFL champions on Thursday night when he finished with one carry for -1 yards, spraining his AC joint on an attempt to make a touchdown catch late in the second quarter.
Everything cascaded from there as Brandon’s top scorer, Ashton Jeanty only managed 8.03 points after moving the chains just once on 25 touches.
On the other side, Alex Mayo enjoyed another great week as he became one of two managers to improve to 2-0 in the league. His players in the early window turned in strong, if unremarkable games to give him a moderate lead, then Brock Purdy and CeeDee Lamb closed the door with 30-point outings in the late afternoon window.
Though Lamb was the top scorer, Purdy was remarkable, finishing with just two incompletions and coming an intentional grounding shy of the NFL’s first ever perfect 100 QB rating.

IR Report
In our league, any player can be placed on IR regardless of injury designation. Once on IR, the player cannot be moved, dropped, or traded for a minimum of three weeks.
After Week 1, IR placements are retroactive to the prior week as long as the player was already on the team's roster but was not in the starting lineup during that prior week. This means those players will be eligible to come off IR after just a two-week stay.
Competitive Lineup Penalty Report
This year, we instituted a new rule requiring managers to start a full lineup of active players. A strike system penalizes managers who leave inactive players, or players on bye, in their starting lineup.

In a poor coaching week for the AFL, Evan stood above the rest by earning a whopping, league-best 2.94 points on a pair of successful coaching risks. He earned 2.74 points by starting Emeka Egbuka instead of Jadarian Price at FLEX, and the other 0.20 points by starting Juwan Johnson at tight end instead of Mark Andrews.
Hue Jackson Award (Worst Coach) Stephen April #8 in his career
Though he wasn't even one of the three worst coaches by forfeited points, Stephen did cost his team 5.95 points on one failed risk this week and became the first manager of the season whose coaching decision resulted in a loss. In a matchup decided by less than 3 points, Stephen started rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq over sophomore tight end Harold Fannin and is now 1-1 because of it.
