All-time H2H: Alex leads series 5-4
Kicking off the end-of-season division round robin, we first gave our attention to the AFL West. Alex entered the week with a one-game advantage over Sean in a division that is likely to only send one team to the playoffs.
In a game decided by nearly 25 points, 4-1 may have been the most important advantage Alex had over Sean; that’s the number of 20-point scorers in each of their lineups.
Jameson Williams led the way in Amon-Ra St. Brown’s absence with 24.63 points to kick off the scoring on Thanksgiving, and all four of Alex’s 20-point scorers finished ahead of Nico Collins and his 20.58 points that led Alex’s division rival.
All-time H2H: Cory leads series 10-6
All-time H2H: Eric leads series 11-7
All-time H2H: Brandon leads series 5-4
All-time H2H: Anthony leads series 3-0
All-time H2H: Stephen leads series 8-7
Free Agent All-Stars vs Tom Brady Award Winner
Every week, we take the best possible lineup made of players who were available on waivers in the AFL at the end of the week and compare it to the top scoring team of the week in our league. Included percentages for the Free Agent All-Star players represent the percentage of FleaFlicker leagues in which each the player was rostered as of data gathering (usually Tuesday morning).
Final Score:
Free Agent All-Stars – 168.18
William Battle – 134.97
YTD Tom Brady Award Winner Record: 5-8
IR Report
In our league, any player can be placed on IR regardless of injury designation. Once on IR, the player cannot be moved, dropped, or traded for a minimum of three weeks.
After Week 1, IR placements are retroactive to the prior week as long as the player was already on the team's roster but was not in the starting lineup during that prior week. This means those players will be eligible to come off IR after just a two-week stay.
Competitive Lineup Penalty Report
This year, we instituted a new rule requiring managers to start a full lineup of active players. A strike system penalizes managers who leave inactive players, or players on bye, in their starting lineup.
Strike 1: No penalty
Strike 2: Fine of $100 FAAB + move to back of all postseason tiebreakers
Strike 3: Repeat Strike 2 penalty + move to back of every round of next year's draft
Strike 4: Dismissal from AFL
Strikes clear in reverse order, two seasons (currently 30 regular season weeks) after the first earned strike.

#1 Power Ranking Eric Meyer #40 in his career (most all-time)
#12 Power Ranking Alex Kincaid #7 in his career
Chuck Knox Award (Best Coach) William Battle #15 in his career (t-2nd most all-time)
A week after earning the Hue Jackson Award, William bounced by as the only manager to earn points from coaching in Week 13. Though he cost his team 2.50 points by starting Ka'imi Fairbairn at kicker instead of Nick Folk, he made up for that and then some by earning 11.86 points for starting Patrick Mahomes instead of Josh Allen at quarterback.
Hue Jackson Award (Worst Coach) Jeffery McDonald #1 in his career
Jeffery cost his team 6.91 points and a win by failing on both of his coaching risks this week. He cost his team 0.35 points by starting Josh Downs instead of Jaylen Waddle at FLEX. If that had been all, he still would have claimed victory, but he cost his squad another 6.56 points by starting the New Orleans Saints at defense instead of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Honorable Mention: Anthony Battle, playing against Jeffery, was fortunate to have a much stronger roster for the week because he was able to get the win despite costing his team a league-high 16.98 points by failing on both of his coaching risks. He added Taysom Hill instead of Devin Neal off waivers in Week 13, and Neal had a higher projection than Keenan Allen, who started at FLEX for Anthony. Neal outscored Allen by 3.37 points. He lost another 13.61 points by starting Matthew Stafford instead of Dak Prescott at quarterback.
Managers took a combined 9 coaching risks this week (the fewest of any week this season) and were successful on 1. The league's net point differential was -35.85
To date in 2025, the AFL has a .433 success rate on 180 total coaching risks with a -230.36 point differential

Jason Myers, K Anthony Battle 20.30 Points (#23 all-time)
New England Patriots DEF Eric Meyer 29.43 Points (t-#35 all-time)

Alex Kincaid left the #3 TE performance of the week on his bench
Zach Ertz, 15.90 Points
Evan Ash left the #1 K performance of the week on his bench
Evan McPherson, 24.90 Points
Adding insult to injury, Evan started Will Reichard, one of two kickers with a goose egg in Week 13.
Anthony Battle left the #5 K performance of the week on his bench
Brandon Aubrey, 13.50 Points
No harm, no foul; Ant started the Week 13's K2, Jason Myers, who finished with nearly 7 more points than Aubrey.
Jeffery McDonald left the #5 DEF performance of the week on his bench
Los Angeles Chargers, 17.44 Points
None in Week 13
The AFL scored 1,276.31 points in Week 13
This does not rank in the Top 50 in league history out of 183 regular season weeks)
The matchup between Anthony Battle and Jeffery McDonald was the 33rd game in AFL history decided by one point or less. Ant's 0.55-point margin of victory was the smallest since Week 4 of the 2024 season when Brandon Saunders beat Alex Kincaid by 0.02 points.
William Battle led the league in scoring this week after winning the David Carr Award a week ago. This is the 9th time in league history this has happened.
We call this the Like a Phoenix Award on League Legacy. William is the first to win it since Eric Meyer in the final week of the 2024 season. Serendipitously, the award's antithesis, the Turritopsis Dohrnii Award, was last earned by William himself back in Week 2 of this season.
Note: this does not count three instances of a team ending the season as the low scorer and then winning the Week 1 Tom Brady Award the next year
Eric Meyer's league-leading active streak of 100-point games extended to 14, tying the fourth longest streak in AFL history.
Alex Kincaid's league-leading active drought of 100-point games ended at 8, the longest drought in AFL history.
Cory Puffett and Will Massimini take over as the active leaders with their 2nd straight sub-100-point outings.
We're down to our final two weeks and we have two playoff spots still up for grabs, including two division titles.
Anthony Battle earned a playoff spot with a narrow Week 13 victory over Jeffery McDonald, the closest game of the season. He can clinch the AFL Central, and his second straight division title, with a win this week against Brandon Saunders, the only man who can catch him.
Alex Mayo is in position to capture the AFL West title this week, as well. A win over Cory Puffett will earn him his second career division title. Failing that, he'll be rooting for William Battle to beat Sean Kennedy as that would also clinch him the division.
Brandon Saunders can't clinch his division this week; the best he can do is beat Anthony and set up a Week 15 where he and Ant play separate games with tiebreakers ready to decide things if he can make up the game he'll still be down. In addition to keeping him alive for the division, a win over Anthony this week would clinch him a playoff spot.
Without a win against Ant, he can also clinch a playoff spot if Stephen April loses to Will Massimini and if either Sean loses to William or Cory loses to Alex Mayo.
