All-time H2H: Alex leads series 5-3
In a contest that certainly lived up to its designation, Cory held a lead of less than two points going into Monday Night Football. He and Alex each had a Kansas City pass catcher left to go, so they were tracking the game intently to find out who was going to move above .500 and keep pace with Evan and Stephen in the AFL Central.
Â
Travis Kelce turned in his second best performance of the season, recording a season-high 100 yards on a season-high 14 receptions off a season-high 16 targets.
Â
Unfortunately for Cory, DeAndre Hopkins recorded season-highs in all three statistics plus a season-high two touchdown catches, giving Alex the win in the closest matchup of the week. Alex is now 4-9 in his career when playing in the game of the week while Cory falls to 17-14 in those matchups.
All-time H2H: Brandon leads series 1-0
All-time H2H: Alex leads series 4-2
All-time H2H: Series tied 6-6
All-time H2H: William leads series 9-7
All-time H2H: Sean leads series 7-6

IR Report
In our league, any player can be placed on IR regardless of injury designation. Once on IR, the player cannot be moved, dropped, or traded for a minimum of three weeks.
After Week 1, IR placements are retroactive to the prior week as long as the player was already on the team's roster but was not in the starting lineup during that prior week. This means those players will be eligible to come off IR after just a two-week stay.
TAXI Report
In our league, any rookie can be placed on the TAXI squad at any time.
Rookies placed on the TAXI on or before Week 8, who remain there without ever being removed until the end of the Sabol Bowl, are eligible as TAXI Keepers for the following year, so long as they never appeared in a starting lineup prior to Week 8. Each manager is permitted to designate one TAXI Keeper in addition to their Traditional Keeper.

While he cost his team 2.26 points with an unsuccessful risk by picking up the Cleveland Browns defense instead of that Tennessee Titans for a spot start, he earned 11.33 points by trading away Jahmyr Gibbs for Chase Brown and another 18.00 points by starting Zay Flowers instead of Malik Nabers, who remains on his TAXI squad.
Hue Jackson Award (Worst Coach) Anthony Battle #9 in his career (T-4th most all-time)
Anthony can count himself fortunate to have won in Week 9 after costing his team a league-high 32.99 points by failing on both of his coaching risks. He started Alexander Mattison instead of Austin Ekeler, costing his team 12.51 points, and the other 20.48 points came by leaving Allen Lazard in his lineup despite being moved to Green Bay's IR instead of picking up Quentin Johnston, who had the highest projection of all flex-eligible players on waivers.
Managers took a combined 18 coaching risks this week and were successful on 6. The league's net point differential was -53.21
To date in 2024, the AFL has a .444 success rate on 135 total coaching risks with a -306.66 point differential. This is already the worst differential in AFL history, by a wide margin, since 2016 when coaching was first tracked.
