We have reached the final week of inter-divisional play for the 2024 regular season. After this week, the remaining three games will all be divisional matchups as we lock down the picture for the 2024 postseason.
Sean Kennedy can clinch a victory this week with a win and a loss by Alex Kincaid. In fact, a win by itself will mean that at minimum Sean will be involved in a tiebreaker for a playoff spot. There is no doubt that Sean has benefited from a bit of scheduling luck. His opponents have scored almost six fewer points per game than any other manager's opponents.
But to his credit, Sean leads the AFL in scoring, averaging nearly two more points per game than any other manager. Sean is currently on pace to record the second highest per game point differential behind Cory Puffett's +28.14 points per game in the 2022 season.
Eric Meyer and William Battle, meanwhile, are on the brink of elimination. If Eric loses his seventh game in a row against Alex Kincaid, he will be eliminated. He will also be eliminated if Brandon Saunders, Jeffery McDonald, Cory Puffett, or Evan Ash win any of their respective matchups.
William Battle needs to win this week or else a win by his brother or by Alex Mayo will knock him out of the playoffs.
In between these three managers, things are still wide open. Eight managers are either leading their division or within two games of their division leader with four games to go. This sets things up for a very exciting finish to the 2024 regular season.
All-time H2H: Stephen leads series 5-3
Anthony rode a balanced attack to a solid lead in his matchup entering Sunday Night Football. Only two of his players failed to reach double digits, one of them being Kyren Williams with 9.95 points. Meanwhile two of Stephen’s players failed to reach five points, and Brandon Aubrey barely got there with 5.30 on Monday night.
By halftime of the Sunday night matchup, it seemed like Ant had it in the bag and would emerge victorious in this battle of division leaders. But Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase had other ideas. A week after the two exploded in a Thursday night showdown with the Ravens, a game in which Chase set the AFL record for points in a single game by a wide receiver, they were back at it as they led a furious comeback against the Chargers.
Thanks to their heroics, Stephen earned the victory and moved to 8-7 in his career when playing in the game of the week. Anthony failed in his bid to tie Eric with the most Peyton Manning Awards in AFL history, falling to 18-18 in his AFL-record 36 game of the week appearances.
All-time H2H: Alex leads series 4-3
All-time H2H: Brandon leads series 8-6
All-time H2H: Cory leads series 8-7
All-time H2H: Alex leads series 5-2
All-time H2H: Jeffery leads series 2-0

IR Report
In our league, any player can be placed on IR regardless of injury designation. Once on IR, the player cannot be moved, dropped, or traded for a minimum of three weeks.
After Week 1, IR placements are retroactive to the prior week as long as the player was already on the team's roster but was not in the starting lineup during that prior week. This means those players will be eligible to come off IR after just a two-week stay.
TAXI Report
In our league, any rookie can be placed on the TAXI squad at any time.
Rookies placed on the TAXI on or before Week 8, who remain there without ever being removed until the end of the Sabol Bowl, are eligible as TAXI Keepers for the following year, so long as they never appeared in a starting lineup prior to Week 8. Each manager is permitted to designate one TAXI Keeper in addition to their Traditional Keeper.
