One team was eliminated from playoff contention this week, and a few other teams are in danger of going the same direction over the next two weeks as we enter the final third of the season.
Evan’s Engineers led the league in scoring for the second time this season with 121.9 points. Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans each contributed 20 or more points to the effort, which drew Evan to within two games of his division leader.
Danny Hatcher won the Week 9 game of the week to keep pace with William Battle, who has used a string of matchups against low-scoring teams to maintain his spot atop the AFC East.
The six winning teams in Week 9 averaged 96.4 points, one of the lowest totals in league history. The losing teams averaged 84.7 points, down about 10 points from last week.
Evan Ash, Eric Meyer, Cory Puffett and Nolan Soter each had three players among the top five scorers at their positions. Evan spread them out between the quarterback, running back and wide receiver positions while Cory spread them between QB, WR and TE. Eric had a top five QB and two top five RBs while Nolan had a top five TE and two top five RBs.
Check out the review of Week 9 below (team names have been changed to the names of their owners):
Game of the Week: Sean Kennedy at Danny Hatcher
Danny kept pace with William Battle in the AFC East as both teams were in the bottom third in the league in scoring this week but still got wins over their NFC West opponents.
