Can anybody usurp Matt Olson? He's now earned his fifth Paul Goldschmidt Award of the past six weeks and may be running away with the Lou Gehrig Award for the 2026 season.
We saw our two highest single-week scores of the season this week, both at Starting Pitcher. Unfortunately for Michael Wacha on Cory Frontin's roster, his 21.95 points, breaking Chase Burns's record from last week, was almost four whole points shy of Cristopher Sanchez's incredible week.
All-time H2H: Cory leads series 10-7
Cory’s Fireflies suffered through the second worst pitching week in AOA history measured by ERA across 31+ innings pitched. It was a brutal performance that absolutely wasted a strong late-week offensive surge that actually gave his squad the edge over Sam’s.
For Sam’s part, it wasn’t the greatest pitching week in his career, but it was a week that perfectly complemented a strong offensive performance. Each discipline eclipsed 50 points in an outing he can feel quite good about as he pulls to within a game of the AOA East lead in a 3-man race.
Sam's top scorer: Bryan Woo, 11.70 points (1 start)
Cory's top scorer: Jose Soriano, 11.85 points (2 starts)
All-time H2H: Stephen leads series 7-2
Stephen's top scorer: Cristopher Sanchez, 25.65 points (2 starts)
Alex's top scorer: Kyle Schwarber, 11.60 points (7 games)
All-time H2H: Sean leads series 11-6
Sean's top scorer: Spencer Strider, 11.55 points (1 start)
Cory's top scorer: Michael Wacha, 21.95 points (2 starts)
All-time H2H: Rich leads series 5-0
Eric's top scorer: Jacob deGrom, 14.95 points (2 starts)
Rich's top scorer: Jacob Misiorowski, 11.75 points (1 start)
Rich Blorstad remains atop the power rankings and is either leading or tied for the league in every metric. This is his 14th time atop the power rankings in his career.
Alex Mayo is the first manager this season to remain in at the bottom of the power rankings; this is his 16th time at the bottom in his career.
