All-time H2H: Rich leads series 5-4
In a league where strong pitching often weighs more heavily than strong hitting, even the best outing of the season for Cory’s pitching staff wasn’t enough to save his Fireflies.
Cory’s staff managed their best ERA and WHIP of the campaign this week and earned the Fireflies an 11-point advantage over the staff of Rich’s Dredgers. But the latter’s lineup came to play in the opener of the second half of the season, blasting 12 homers while crossing the plate 46 times, three more than any other team has managed in a week this season.
That strong offensive performance, led by Jose Ramirez and Alec Burleson, not only erased the pitching deficit but nearly tipped the scales to a double digit victory the other way.
Rich's top scorer: Jacob Misiorowski, 11.55 points (1 start)

Rich Blorstad remains atop the power rankings this week. It is his 18th #1 ranking in his career.
Alex Mayo has now been at the bottom of the power rankings for six weeks in a row. His power score has sat at 0.0 for four straight weeks. This is his 20th career appearances at the bottom of the power rankings, making him just the third manager to reach that mark in AOA history.
