Story

For the second time in the AOA’s five-year history, we have a back-to-back champion!

Sam Martin finished two games below .500 in the 2025 regular season but finished the entire campaign even after cruising to two postseason victories, including a second straight blowout win in the Scully Cup. He’s won his two league titles by an average of nearly 55 points!

On offense, Stephen kept things respectable. Much lower averages in both hitting and OPS led to a disadvantage of roughly 10 points, but his counting stats were in line with Sam’s so he gave himself a shot.

Too bad for Stephen his pitchers did not show up for him this week. Apart from Yoshinobu Yamamoto, his staff was dreadful. Meanwhile, only Andrew Abbott’s disappointing Saturday start failed to yield a quality start for Sam.

Throw in five saves in seven relief appearances, and Sam’s pitching staff more than doubled Stephen’s in fantasy production, turning a solid offensive advantage into an insurmountable demolition in the final contest of the 2025 campaign.
