Rich snapped a three-game losing streak with a much-needed win, Cory continued to roll through the middle of this campaign, and Stephen built enough of a lead to withstand a late surge by Sam in the game of the week.
For his part, Sam now has the undesirable destinction of suffering four unlucky losses so far this year. He is still very much in the running for a playoff spot with two managers ahead of him by just one game for the #4 seed with seven weeks to go.
I don't have much else to say that won't already be said in the span of this week's recap so let's jump into it!

After two weeks out of the spotlight, Cal Raleigh earned his eighth Mike Piazza Award of the season in just the 13th week of the campaign. The switch hitting catcher leads all of baseball in home runs and has set a new record for dingers at the position before the All-Star Break, and we've still got a few more weeks to play before then.
Eugenio Suarez is the only repeat positional award winner from Week 12, earning the Wade Boggs Award thanks to another strong week for Alex, who has his first back-to-back wins of the season.
All-time H2H: Stephen leads series 4-1
Stephen’s pitching staff was abysmal this week. They barely accumulated 50 points for the week despite strong volume with all seven starts utilized, seven relief appearances made, and 44.1 inning pitches, the fourth most his team has recorded all season. Sadly for Sam, a strong week by his Lowlanders was overshadowed by Stephen’s offense
Four hitters reached double digits for Stephen’s Orange Team, including the MLB’s hands-down first half MVP, Cal Raleigh. The Mariners catcher scored 17.15 points in the victory, the second highest total by a non-starting pitcher in the AOA this season.
Stephen’s squad scored 50 runs this week on just 233 plate appearances, the fewest needed in AOA history. In fact, he is only the second manager to reach 50 runs scored in a regulation 7-day matchup. His 20 home runs tied the league’s record, set by Evan Ash in Week 13 of the 2023 season.
Stephen's top scorer: Cal Raleigh, 17.15 points (6 games)
Sam's top scorer: James Wood, 12.95 points (7 games)
All-time H2H: Cory leads series 11-6
Sean's top scorer: Byron Buxton, 16.65 points (6 games)
Cory's top scorer: Riley Greene, 13.55 points (6 games)
All-time H2H: Alex leads series 7-5
Alex's top scorer: Eugenio Suarez, 14.05 points (6 games)
Eric's top scorer: Felix Bautista, 9.90 points (3 relief appearances)
All-time H2H: Rich leads series 2-1
Rich's top scorer: Ryan Pepiot, 19.10 points (2 starts)
Cory's top scorer: Matt Olson, 8.15 points (6 games)
For the second week in a row, we had no movement in this week's power rankings. This is Cory's AOA-record 42nd time leading the league's power rankings.
Cory Frontin, meanwhile, is at the bottom of the power rankings for the 27th time in his career.
